Tommy Veitch

Tommy Veitch was a Scottish midfielder, born in Edinburgh, who joined Tranmere Rovers from Heart of Midlothian in July 1972.

Veitch began with Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic before establishing himself at Hearts, where he made his senior debut in 1968. He spent three seasons at Prenton Park, making 79 Football League appearances and scoring five goals.

After leaving Tranmere in 1975, Veitch played in the United States for the Denver Dynamos, then returned to Britain with Halifax Town and Hartlepool United. He later represented Greenock Morton, Airdrieonians and Queen of the South before retiring. Veitch died in 1987, on his 38th birthday.
